About Us
Normand Park is one of the communities in the South St. Vital area. On the east side it is bounded by St. Mary's Road and on the west side by the Red River. Currently there are about 220 homes in the area.
The Normand Park Residents Association was incorporated in September 1990. The association interfaces with all levels of government and developers to ensure that individual and community interests are represented in any undertakings affecting the community.
In 1993, The Normand Park riverbank park made a clear departure from conventional community parks by building upon and enhancing the existing native vegetation; and by re-creating 'new natural areas" thus reducing park maintenance costs.
This was a communal effort of The Normand Park Residents and a tri-level government partnership in developing a natural riverbank park unique to a new suburban development anywhere in the country.
